*** Due to COVID-19, all of our volunteer activities are on hold. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Amiee Freeman, NMCGRF's Communications and Public Relations Specialist.
By fulfilling our mission and vision, our volunteer program serves to celebrate and encourage our residents’ to live life to the fullest and to help maintain an active lifestyle by providing an array of activities: arts and crafts, musical performances, stimulating games, personal visits, and lifelong learning opportunities. Check out our brochure to learn about opportunities and how to get involved.
Individual volunteers are welcome and have to be at least 16. Completing a Volunteer Application is the next step.
We welcome groups to volunteer at VHRC. We ask that groups be no larger than 12 individuals. In order to ensure the experience is rewarding for both volunteers and residents, we ask that group volunteer organizers contact VHRC at least 30 days prior to the proposed volunteer event. Volunteer groups engage with our community in a variety of ways. Some volunteer groups help with activities in our assisted living and memory care communities. Activities include helping with games such as bingo, doing crafts, providing social interactions, or doing cooking demos. Groups who would like an opportunity to volunteer or any other questions about volunteering please email Communications and Public Relations Specialist Amiee Freeman or call Amiee at 703-538-3069
