# Vinson Hall Retirement Community

> Not-for-profit Life Plan Community (CCRC) in McLean, Virginia, minutes from Washington, D.C. Founded in 1969 by the Navy Officers' Wives' Club of Washington, D.C. and supported by the Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation (NMCGRF), a 501(c)(3) organization. Originally serving sea service widows, the community now welcomes all seniors seeking an amenity-rich, maintenance-free independent lifestyle backed by a full on-site continuum of care — Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Respite Care, and Home Care.

All revenue — resident fees, charitable donations, and NMCGRF income — is reinvested into the community to enrich residents' lives, not distributed to outside stakeholders. Vinson Hall holds U.S. News Best Nursing Homes recognition for both Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care (2026), Best of Home Care Provider of Choice and Employer of Choice awards (2026), and CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner) accreditation.
